founded Raising Expectations LLC in 2018. Duane is a consultant who works for humanity to enable them to conduct the 4 C’s with integrity, equity and social justice (Coordination, Communication, Convening and Community). His company, Raising Expectations LLC works with schools, non profits, community based organizations, foundations and universities on a wide variety of projects. However, his most important work is improving access to literacy for families with his co-conspirators above.    

Duane has spent almost three decades teaching, leading, coaching and consulting at a variety of schools and organizations in Chicago and nationally.   He is a former Chicago Public Schools teacher, previously led and taught at multiple organizations: City Colleges of Chicago, Governors State University, Mikva Challenge, Square One Foundation and the University of Chicago. Duane is  a born and bred Southsider who cares deeply about the experience of our students in this city, nationally and globally. He is currently consulting with organizations locally and nationally on a variety of literacy, equity and program evaluation projects through his company Raising Expectations.
